Have you ever found a concealer in just over 1 euro and you asked yourself, “Will this really work?” That's exactly what happened to me with the Max & More Cosmetics concealer in tone 104 Light Sand, purchased in Action store. Despite the ridiculously low price, I decided to put it to the test and test it on different skin types and in different conditions to see if it could be a valid alternative to the more famous products.
In this review I'll tell you everything: formulation, performance, duration, quality of ingredients, applicator, oxidation, real coverage and results over time. And I'll also tell you if, in my opinion, it's really worth trying or if it's better to invest a few more euros.
Composition and ingredients: what does it really contain?
The formula of the Max & More concealer is very simple, as you would expect from a makeup product low-cost. We do not find high-performance active ingredients, but rather a functional base designed to do its job without too many claims.

Main components
- Silicones: improve the spreading and holding of the product
- Glycerin: humectant
- Talc and magnesium: used to fix and mattify
- Disteardimonium Hectorite: helps maintain product stability, avoiding lumps
The formula is vegan, alcohol-free and fragrance-free, therefore potentially also suitable for those with more sensitive or reactive skin.

Texture, applicator and ease of use
The applicator is simple but functional. It is not refined, but it does its job and for the price this concealer has I would say it is not bad at all. The applicator does not scratch but remains soft on the skin and this is a very important factor considering the delicate area around the eyes.
La texture is thick and creamy. It spreads well on the skin, but you have to be quick: it dries quickly and doesn't give you much time to blend it.
Light Sand or Honey?
The Light Sand color is currently the lightest, Honey is more orange.
Practical advice
Apply concealer to small areas at a time and blend immediately with a synthetic brush or damp sponge. Otherwise, you risk it staining.
Coverage: How Long It Lasts and How It Changes on Your Skin
The coverage is average, modulable. With just one layer, it can cover light dark circles, redness and discoloration. With two layers, you can obtain a more uniform effect even on marked imperfections.
Points in favor
- Evens out skin tone well
- Does not create a mask effect
- It doesn't get too deep into the folds
- Does not change color after application (does not oxidize)
Critical points
- It is not resistant to sweat or humidity
- It tends to mark the skin if it is too dry, in fact I only use it if I have hydrated and nourished the skin well and sometimes it is not enough anyway.
Duration:
- 4-5 hours on normal or combination skin
- 2-3 hours on oily skin or in hot weather conditions
Who is this concealer suitable for?
I recommend it if:
- You have a very limited budget
- Are you looking for a concealer for occasional or emergency use
- You don't have any major imperfections to cover.
I do not recommend it if:
- Any dry or mature skin, because it tends to mark
- Looking for one high coverage and long lasting
- Do you want a professional finish or a concealer to use every day?
How to use it best: tips not to be missed
- Moisturize the eye contour well before use.
- Set with light powder to prevent slipping.
- Avoid excessive layering: it tends to become heavy
Pros and cons in summary
Advantages:
- Unbeatable price
- Buildable coverage
- Good spreadability (if worked quickly)
- Does not change color after application
Disadvantages:
- Limited duration
- Not very elastic texture
Conclusion: would I buy it again?
I'll tell you the truth: for just over 1 euro it's not bad, but it's one of those products that you use knowing exactly what to expect. It's not designed for red carpet performances, but it can be useful for those who need a basic concealer, perhaps for a quick touch-up or as a product to keep in your beauty bag.
Personally, for my skin and my needs, I prefer to invest a few more euros for a more reliable formula. But if you have young skin, without many imperfections, and you want to save money, can be a great alternative to try.
