This Summer Pantene has introduced an eagerly awaited innovation in its Silk Effect Smooth line, that is, a regenerating dry oil with a light but at the same time restorative finish and ideal for all skin types.
Before talking about the oil, however, let's look together at the other two products, already present in the Smooth Silk Effect line, one of the most popular Pantene products.
PRO-V SMOOTH SILK-EFFECT SHAMPOO PANTENE

A shampoo with an ideal formulation for all hair types, in particular for the frizziest and most untamable ones. Thanks to the patent present in the formulation, this shampoo makes the hair immediately more docile, soft and smooth. The effect of smoother hair is evident once the treatment is finished or with dry hair. The smoother hair effect remains even in the following days even in the case of humidity as the formulation is also designed to counteract atmospheric phenomena, blocking humidity particles from the outside.
PRO-V SMOOTH SILK-EFFECT CONDITIONER PANTENE
200ml – 3.99 €
The cleansing treatment is completed with the application of conditioner, an essential product for softening the hair.
The conditioner is designed to protect the normal lipid film of the hair, improving hydration and blocking, as with shampoo, moisture particles on the outside of the hair.
The creamy texture hydrates and nourishes the hair without weighing it down.
The product is also an excellent ally for hair that tangles easily.
Thanks to the Shampoo and Conditioner from the Smooth Silk Effect line it is possible to notice an improvement in the appearance of the hair, in the sense that it truly appears smoother, shinier and certainly less frizzy.
Furthermore, the fragrance remains on the hair even the day after washing (which is not common in shampoos).
But now let's see the new product in detail.
PRO-V SMOOTH SILK EFFECT PANTENE DRY OIL WITH ARGAN OIL
100ml – 6.99 €
Formulated to regenerate the driest and most brittle hair, but thanks to the "dry oil" formulation it adapts well to any type of hair.
Hydrates and protects, nourishes and shines the hair, this oil is present in two formulations:
– Dry oil with Argan Oil
– Regenerates & Protects Dry Oil with Vitamin E
The product should be dosed in a minimum quantity, so that it is light and does not grease the hair. It can be used on damp hair before drying or on dry hair to tame frizz. I recommend using it on dry hair, especially for those who have curly and generally not fine hair, otherwise the product could feel heavy.
The effect of the oil is immediate, the hair is smoother and shinier.
Although it is a silicone-based oil, Argan Oil is still in fifth place in the INCI, certainly an excellent position.
Obviously these are not natural products but I consider them to be the same as professional shampoos found in hairdressers. The hair immediately appears softer and shinier, smooth and silky... a truly amazing effect already with the first applications.
